Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant Location: LeicesterSalary: £35,000 - £45,000Working Pattern: 5 days on-site The Opportunity Our client is a successful and fast-paced business based in Leicester, looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is a broad role covering day-to-day accounting, month-end reporting, forecasting and supporting the wider finance function. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for managing members of the finance team. Key Responsibilities Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment runs Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany agreements and journal postings Prepare accruals and prepayments and support the month-end process through to management accounts Assist with monthly forecasting, budgeting and basic cashflow forecasting Support the business through year-end audit and work with external advisors where required Identify and resolve day-to-day accounting issues, ensuring accurate financial records Complete relevant statistical and regulatory returns Provide support and guidance to the wider finance team, including staff management Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and process improvements About You We''re looking for an AAT-qualified accountant who is comfortable working in a medium-sized, fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied role.
