Finance Manager

We''re working with a successful SME seeking a hands-on finance professional to take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in the business. This is a broad and varied position, overseeing day-to-day finance operations, leading and developing a small team, and ensuring the smooth delivery of month-end and management reporting. You''ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing commercial insight and supporting business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate monthly management accounts, including PandL, balance sheet and variance analysis. Deliver monthly reporting packs and provide meaningful commercial insights to senior leadership. Manage cashflow forecasting and working capital reporting. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, journals, VAT returns and month-end processes. Monitor stock valuations and inventory-related reporting. Support year-end audit preparation and maintain strong financial controls. Manage, mentor and develop members of the finance team. Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function. Requirements Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Previous Finance Manager experience within an SME environment. Strong management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow experience. Experience managing or mentoring finance staff. Excellent Excel and financial systems skills. ..... full job details .....
