Finance Manager - Midsomer Norton Salary: 40,000- 45,000 Hours: 40 per week (Mon-Fri) Working pattern: Flexible hoursDirect reports: None. Hybrid after probationThe roleWe''re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and deliver clear, timely financial reporting that supports business decisions. This is a varied role covering ledgers, month-end, budgeting/forecasting, cash flow, VAT, and year-end-working closely with senior management, external accountants/auditors, and the wider group/holding company.What you''ll be doingRun the day-to-day finance function (purchase and sales ledgers, invoice processing, reconciliations)Manage credit control and proactively chase overdue paymentsComplete bank reconciliations and maintain strong banking controls/accessPrepare month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation) and deliver accurate management accountsProduce monthly reporting packs and financial insight for management meetingsLead annual budgeting and produce rolling cash flow forecasts; manage working capitalEnsure VAT compliance and submit VAT returns; support quarterly tax reporting requirementsSupport year-end accounts and audit preparation; act as main point of contact for accountants/auditors and group reportingWhat we''re looking forEssentialFully AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on finance operations experienceSage proficiency and advanced Excel ..... full job details .....
