This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in finance, who is eager to grow into a more commercial and strategic financial position. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing key financial operations, providing strategic insights, and supporting business growth.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review monthly balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and complianceManage VAT submissions and ensure adherence to tax regulationsHandle corporation tax planning and submissionsOversee payroll operations and ensure timely processingDevelop and maintain financial forecasts to support strategic decision-makingLiaise with internal lenders regarding financing arrangementsMonitor and optimise accounts receivable and accounts payable processesConduct financial planning and analysis, including overhead cost projections and managing cost acceleration or deceleration strategiesAdvise the business on financial performance, trends, and opportunities for growthSupport US exposure with an understanding of US financial considerations and complianceCollaborate with senior management to support future growth and transition into more commercial financial rolesQualifications and Experience:Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally with a background in accountancy firms and in-house finance rolesGood understanding of financial statements, VAT, corporation tax, payroll, and financial forecastsExposure to US financial practices is preferredStrong communication skills and the ability to advise and influence leadershipAbility to work strategically, proactively, and with attention to detailDesired Attributes:Commercial mindset with a desire to grow into a strategic business partnerAnalytical and results-drivenAdaptable and eager to learn new financial skills and challengesSeniority level
