Finance Manager

A well-established and highly regarded business services group based near Shrewsbury is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join its senior finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role with genuine scope to shape how the finance function operates the kind of position where your input will be visible, valued and quickly felt across the wider business. If you''re a qualified or finalist-level accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with a strong grounding in commercial finance and you''re ready to step into a role with real ownership, this one is worth a serious look. What you''ll be doing: Leading month-end and year-end processes from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Producing management accounts, board packs and financial reporting for senior stakeholders Overseeing budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to sharpen commercial decision-making Business partnering with department heads and operational managers providing insight, challenge and support where it counts Managing balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments Preparing statutory accounts and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors Reviewing and strengthening internal financial controls, processes and reporting Managing, mentoring and developing a small finance team Driving process improvements and contributing to finance systems development What we''re looking for: Qualified or finalist ACCA, CIMA or ACA Strong all-round finance experience gained in a ..... full job details .....
