This is a key opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Manager ready to play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational excellence, and leading on a variety of different projects as the business grows.With the business going through a period of change, they will need the new finance person to be on site to work closely with warehousing and transport; this may have some flexibility around it.The Role: Finance Manager

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a small, dedicated finance team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the group. You will be responsible for all aspects of the financial operations of a business currently turning over circa £10m, while offering finance support to the leadership team, and insight into growth and profitability.Key Responsibilities:

Lead all core finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management

Deliver accurate and timely monthly and statutory financial reports

Manage the audit process and ensure full compliance with reporting standards

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned to long-term business objectives

Partner with operational teams to deliver insightful analysis, improve profitability, and challenge costs

Identify and mitigate financial risks

Support capital expenditure planning and business case evaluations

Provide commercial support to the MD, including involvement in funding projects and contract negotiations

Review and challenge commercial proposals, identifying key risks and opportunities

Lead, mentor and develop the finance team

Foster strong working relationships with stakeholders across the group

About You:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

Background in movement of goods, FMCG sector is highly desirable but not essential

Previous experience developing a small finance team

Excellent commercial acumen with strong analytical skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders

What’s on Offer:

Salary circa £60,000 – £70,000 per annum, (possibly higher dependent on person and experience)

25 days holiday plus bank holidays
