Handle''s client, a leading Music Company, is looking to recruit a Finance Director to oversee the rapidly growing Finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department in the UK. The role involves general Financial Control as well as commercially focused business tasks, decision making and strategic input, working closely with senior figures and managers within the Group. Ideally, candidates will come from a Music Label or Publishing background and will be able to bring commercial value to the business.This is a fantastic and value-adding position working for a leading and cutting-edge Record Label. The successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and must have a proven track record of adding commercial value, working within the Music Industry, either within a Record Label or Music Publishing company.Music Industry experience is absolutely essential for this role.Responsibilities

Be responsible for the overall financial security and performance of the groupProvide suitable forecasts to the board to give them visibility of financial opportunitiesWork with the Board to build value in the businessWork with business units to improve financial performanceCompetitor analysisDevelop financial models to facilitate understanding of projectsFormulate and manage business plans for the business units and the group as a wholeMonitor cash flow and solvencyReport to the Board on any financial matters of which they should be made awareMonitor system performance to ensure that they are fit for the needs of the businessManage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions and disposals, as appropriateInstall and oversee the appropriate controls to ensure the stable and profitable management of the businessWork with the auditors to ensure the delivery of appropriate, timely annual accountsEnsure compliance with all HMRC requirements around PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax, etc. remaining informed of the relevant legislative framework for the operation of the businessQualifications
