The Finance Business Partner role, reporting to the Commercial Finance Lead, presents an exciting opportunity to support Depop''s newly formed Fulfilment function, which encompasses shipping, payments, and fraud prevention.In this role, you will provide strategic guidance and direction, as well as ensure business accountability through thorough and timely performance reviews. Your responsibilities will include contributing to key FPandA deliverables across reporting, KPI analysis, process improvement, budgeting/forecasting, and commercial analysis.This is a true business partnering position where you will assist the business in making critical decisions while also ensuring accountability for financial variances. We are seeking a hands-on individual who can collaborate effectively within a team yet also possesses the autonomy and confidence to engage directly with the business. This role will be both challenging and rewarding as you manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to support our ambitious growth strategy.Responsibilities:
Partner with the Fulfillment team to maintain accurate monthly forecasts that reflect current trends, critically assessing underlying assumptions, and clearly communicating any potential margin risks or opportunities.Provide commercial support for new initiatives supporting in modelling the financial and user impact, understanding key sensitivities and incorporating into planning cycles.Work with the Fraud team to analyze performance, identify trends, and support investment cases to deliver improvements in line with our strategy.Contribute to medium and long-term planning cycles, working closely with the business to understand key project initiatives and their impact on financial performance.Support the FPandA team by embedding wider budget discipline and process efficiency across the business, and share regular updates with finance colleagues.Deep dive into key investment areas to identify contribution and performance compared to plan and benchmarks.Collaborate with the Commercial Finance Lead and the wider business to perform investment appraisals, supporting both short and long-term decisions, and conduct post-investment reviews to track performance against the original business case.Assist the business in identifying cost or margin improvement opportunities.Requirements:
CIMA or ACCA accounting qualification (fully or part qualified)Ambitious, dedicated individual excited to develop in a fast-paced, constantly changing global businessExperience in similar business partnering roles preferredStrong financial modelling skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, capable of manipulating large datasets and using complex formulasExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial managersStrong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines and manage competing prioritiesAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to seeking ..... full job details .....
