Your new roleAs the company expands, they are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant with strong Xero expertise to join their team and keep their financial operations running smoothly. You''ll play a key part in our finance function, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple construction projects. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys improving processes as the business grows. Key responsibilitiesAccounts Payable - processing supplier invoices, CIS deductions, and payment runsAccounts Receivable - raising sales invoices, allocating payments, and managing aged debtXero Management - maintaining accurate records, bank reconciliations, and reportingCIS Administration - verifying subcontractors, preparing monthly CIS returnsProject Costing - supporting cost tracking and budget monitoringPayroll Support - assisting with weekly subcontractor payments and monthly payroll dataFinancial Reporting - supporting month-end journals, accruals, and reconciliationsWhat you''ll need to succeedProven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar roleStrong working knowledge of Xero (certification desirable)Experience in the construction industry (CIS essential)Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsConfident ..... full job details .....
