Finance Assistant

Grafton Banks Finance are working with a commercial company with offices in Redhill, Surrey to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director and working within a small friendly team. As Accounts Assistant, you''ll be involved in a broad range of financial and accounting tasks, supporting the business with daily, weekly, and monthly processes. This is a varied and vital role in a small finance team where you''ll take ownership of key functions such as purchase ledger, expenses, cash handling, and supporting management accounts. Hybrid working is on offer.Duties and Responsibilities will include:Purchase LedgerProcess supplier invoices, match to purchase orders and delivery notesEnsure invoices are authorised in line with approval limitsMaintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, resolving any discrepanciesLiaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding invoice queriesAssist with setup of new supplier accountsCash and BankingAssist with customer account reconciliation and credit control activitiesDaily cashbook maintenance and reconciliationMonitor and reconcile bank transactionsPrepare and process payment runs (BACS/international payments)ExpensesProcess staff expenses and ensure claims comply with company policyPost and reconcile corporate credit card transactionsForeign CurrencyProcess multi-currency transactions (EUR, USD, etc.)Key Skills required for the job:AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) qualified minimum1-2 years'' ..... full job details .....
