Holt Engineering is recruiting for a Factory Operative-to join a well-established and growing automotive operation in Poole.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for cars and who is mechanically minded
Rather than traditional servicing and repairs, you''ll use your mechanical knowledge to safely dismantle vehicles and remove valuable automotive components for reuse and recycling.
You''ll be working hands-on with a wide variety of vehicles, using hand and power tools to remove everything from doors and interior components through to suspension and powertrain parts.

Key Responsibilities for the Factory Operative:

• Identify and remove quality automotive parts for reuse
• Remove mechanical and electrical vehicle components
• Remove dashboards and associated parts
• Use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Extract and separate recyclable materials
• Sort waste materials into the correct recycling streams
• Follow quality, safety and environmental procedures
• Work efficiently to achieve daily production targets
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
• Work closely with colleagues to keep the production line running effectively

What We''re Looking For in the Factory Operative:-

• Previous hands-on mechanical or vehicle experience
• Good knowledge of vehicle components and how they fit together
• Confidence using hand and power tools
• The ability to dismantle mechanical components safely
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to health and safety
• A reliable and professional approach to work
• Good attendance and timekeeping
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
