We are recruiting a Facilities Manager for a leading organisation within the-cash management and cash processing sector, based in Warrington.

This is an important role within a highly secure and operationally critical environment, where well-maintained facilities, effective contractors and robust compliance are essential to keeping the operation running safely and efficiently.

You will take ownership of the site''s facilities function, covering-planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, contractors, health & safety and facilities projects.

This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and continually improving the environment around them.

The Role

As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and longer-term development of the site''s facilities and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and continually improving the site''s-planned preventative maintenance (PPM)-programme.

Taking ownership of reactive maintenance, ensuring issues are prioritised and resolved efficiently.

Managing a range of specialist contractors and facilities service providers.

Ensuring contractors meet agreed standards for safety, quality, performance and value.

Managing statutory inspections, testing and servicing across the site.

Maintaining accurate compliance, maintenance and facilities records.

Conducting regular site inspections and identifying potential risks or improvement opportunities.

Managing building fabric, mechanical and electrical services, HVAC, lighting, utilities and other site infrastructure.

Supporting the effective operation of security, access control and other critical site services.

Ensuring facilities activities are planned around a-high-security, business-critical operation.

Managing facilities budgets, quotations, purchase orders and contractor expenditure.

Supporting procurement and supplier reviews.

Developing and maintaining effective emergency response and business continuity arrangements.

Working closely with Operations, Security, Health & Safety and other internal teams to minimise operational disruption.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Health & Safety and compliance are central to this role.

You will ensure the site remains compliant with relevant legislation, regulations and company standards, while maintaining a proactive approach to risk management.

You''ll oversee areas including:

Statutory compliance and inspections.

Fire safety and emergency arrangements.

Contractor management and permit controls.

Risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Building and facilities compliance.

Environmental and workplace standards.

Corrective actions arising from inspections, audits and incidents.

You''ll be expected to-challenge poor standards, identify risks and ensure issues are addressed, rather than simply reporting them.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

The role will also have responsibility for supporting and delivering a variety of-facilities and infrastructure projects.

Projects may include building improvements, refurbishment, equipment installations, infrastructure upgrades, energy initiatives and changes required to support the continued development of the operation.

You''ll coordinate contractors, budgets, timelines and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal impact on day-to-day operations.

You''ll also be encouraged to identify opportunities to improve-reliability, efficiency, cost control and the overall working environment.

About You

We''re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager who is comfortable operating within a-secure, regulated or operationally critical environment.

You''ll ideally have:

Proven experience in Facilities Management within a commercial, industrial, logistics, manufacturing or similarly operational environment.

Strong experience managing-PPM and reactive maintenance.

Proven contractor and supplier management experience.

Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and facilities compliance.

Experience managing statutory inspections and planned maintenance programmes.

Experience delivering facilities, infrastructure or building projects.

Experience managing budgets and controlling expenditure.

Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

A practical and proactive approach to problem solving.

The confidence to challenge contractors and drive improvements.

Strong attention to detail, particularly around compliance and operational standards.

Experience within a-high-security, regulated, financial services, cash handling, critical infrastructure or similarly controlled environment-would be advantageous, although candidates from other highly operational environments will also be considered.

Relevant qualifications in-Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Health & Safety or a related discipline-would be beneficial.
