In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. You will oversee the facilities management to enhance hospital efficiency, reduce operating costs, and increase productivity. You will ensure that operational standards are met across the hospital and support the wider team with daily activities.Overseeing the general upkeep and maintenance of the hospital and its outdoor areasEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulationsManaging clinical and non-clinical equipment orders, repairs and service agreementsHandling cleaning services, security, waste disposal, and car parkingTracking maintenance costs and ensuring compliance with safety protocols (e.g., weekly fire tests and annual evacuations)Liaising with contractors, overseeing their visits, troubleshooting basic IT issues, and liaising with IT for bigger projectsHandling onsite small repairs and facilitating communication between the hospital team and external service providersWhat You’ll Bring to Our Team
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with experience in a clinical environment, although this is not essential. Knowledge of operational processes and relevant health and safety regulations is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen to support sound decision-making. Proficiency in MS Office is required, along with the ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves building strong relationships with both internal teams and external contractors along with the ability to manage your own diary and workload.Working Hours
This full-time role consists of 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. The hours will be worked within the practice opening hours which are 7:30am – 8pm Monday to Friday, to meet hospital needs. There are no weekends or out of hours requirements for this role.Benefits
