Fabricator Welder

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team in Smethwick. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication, particularly with architectural work such as Ballustrades and Staircases.

This role is essential in ensuring the production of high-quality metal components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Operate machinery and tooling safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• TIG and MIG Welding of various materials
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to execute fabrication tasks accurately.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.

Skills

• Proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding, and skilled in Fabrication
• Ability to fabricate components accurately using basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
• Experience operating various power tools and hand tools relevant to the fabrication process.
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
