Fabrication/Machine Shop Supervisor

A1 Jobs have an immediate need for a Fabrication/Machine Shop Supervisor to join our clients thriving team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a skilled team of welders and machine operators.
• Operate and specialise in-conventional horizontal boring-(e.g. SH75 Kerns Richard).
• Use a variety of machine tools:-lathe, milling machine, drill, etc.
• Interpret-mechanical drawings-and work to precise-engineering tolerances.
• Carry out-self-inspection-throughout the manufacturing process.
• Promote-safe working practices-and maintain clean, organised work areas.
• Contribute to-continuous improvement-and help implement-standard procedures.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a-machine operator-with-supervisory responsibilities.
• Skilled in-horizontal boring-and confident in reading technical drawings.
• Positive, team-focused attitude, promoting collaboration and quality.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and performance.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience operating a-Kerns Richard SH75-or similar boring machine.
• Valid-counterbalance forklift licence.
• Experience using-overhead cranes-for loading/unloading.
• Familiar with-machine shop safety standards-and procedures.
