Experienced Residential Conveyancer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Residential Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions from inception to completion, ensuring smooth and efficient conveyancing processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong understanding of property law and exceptional organisational skills to contribute to a reputable firm. The Residential Conveyancer will work closely with clients, estate agents, and other legal professionals to facilitate the transfer of property ownership in accordance with legal requirements and deadlines.

Duties

- Manage a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.

- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documentation.

- Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely progression of transactions.

- Conduct searches, prepare reports, and ensure all necessary legal checks are completed accurately.

- Provide clear advice to clients regarding the conveyancing process and legal obligations.

- Keep accurate records of case progress and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and firm policies.

- Coordinate with external parties such as surveyors and local authorities to facilitate smooth transaction completion.

- Ensure all transactions are completed within set deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of client service.

Required

- Proven experience as a Residential Conveyancer or Legal Executive within property law.

- Good understanding of the conveyancing process.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients and colleagues.

- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to conveyancing work, including case management software.

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

- Outstanding time management skills to meet strict deadlines without compromising quality.

- Demonstrable organisational skills that support efficient workflow and attention to detail.
