MRTPI Town Planner or Senior Town Planner

to join a busy and highly successful Development / Strategic Land team which entails both Residential and Commercial Development responsibility.ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities shall include:Good grasp of planning law and the planning systemResidential and Commercial DevelopmentsLocal Plan promotionScrutinising evidence base of local authoritiesPreparing and submitting representations to local planning documentsCo-ordinating pre-application discussions with local planning authoritiesPreparing and submitting planning applicationsPreparing planning statements to support planning applicationsCo-ordinating and attending public consultation events and liaising with local communities and stakeholder groupsUndertaking site searches and appraisalsManaging planning applications through to disposalAttendance and presentation at planning committeeS106 negotiationsManaging discharge of conditions applicationsPlanning appealsPerson Specification/RequirementsProfessional Membership of the RTPI – 3 to 5 years PQE.Dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible and commercially astute with excellent interpersonal skills.Willingness to act on your own initiative and accept responsibility.Strong focus on own professional skills and integrity.The ability and confidence to engage directly with other professionals within project design teams, to give advice and direction, plus when required to make decisions.The ability to multi-task, work to tight timescales, with minimal supervision and to a high standard.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical abilities.Confident team player able to work well with colleagues and clients.Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).Ability to undertake viability assessments and prepare market reports.Sound analytical skills.A driving licence.Remuneration includes:A Salary of between £45,000 – £50,000 (D.O.E.)Company CarPension25 days holiday… and moreMy client offers real scope for career development for a dedicated, professional, and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic who wants to join a long established and successful private organisation.To apply for this position in complete confidence, please email your CV to
