Estimator (Roofing)

Job Summary

Duties

• Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop precise roofing cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data necessary for accurate estimation.
• Prepare detailed proposals outlining material costs, labor requirements, equipment needs, and timelines.
• Utilise estimating software and cost control tools to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
• Analyse supplier quotes and negotiate pricing to optimize project budgets.
• Support project teams during bidding processes, contract negotiations, and project planning stages.

Requirements

• Proven experience in roofing estimation or a related construction estimating role.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise cost calculations.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
