Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager

OverviewEstimator / Pre-Construction Manager role at TieTalent, based in Merseyside. This is an Estimator heavy position with the opportunity to grow into a Pre-Construction Manager role within an established new build housing business.

Responsibilities

Review tender packages and determine whether to bid.

Lead the bid process as the single point of contact for all involved teams, including periodic work with land teams on feasibility.

Develop Bills of Quantities beyond high-level budgets and create a high-level tender programme to hand over to the Site team.

Develop a cost database for strategic benchmarking of market costs over the long term.

Initially act as Pre-Construction Manager and Estimator, working with the Construction Director and Commercial Director.

Contribute to building an end-to-end process that influences business wins for years to come.

Possibly lead Pre-Construction activities even if you are primarily an Estimator, depending on fit.

Manage your own department with a degree of autonomy and influence over projects, including a prominent 35 million value hi-rise project starting in 14 months.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience as an Estimator with the capability to lead Pre-Construction activities.

Ability to form strategy on bids, manage the bid process, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Interest in developing cost databases and long-term cost benchmarking capabilities.

Strong fit for a small but flexible business with emphasis on character and collaboration.
