EstimatorLocation: Birkenhead, WirralSalary: Competitive (DOE)A leading Wirral-based construction and maintenance company is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its team based at its Birkenhead office.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated estimator to play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive tenders for a variety of construction and maintenance projects while working alongside experienced project and commercial teams.Key ResponsibilitiesTender Analysis and PreparationReview tender documentation to understand project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.Identify risks, discrepancies, and missing information, escalating where appropriate.Carry out site visits when required to assess project conditions and constraints.Cost EstimationPrepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings using estimating software.Produce detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor costs.Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.Maintain and update estimating software with accurate project information.Assist in preparing compliant tender submissions within client deadlines.Support value engineering by identifying cost-effective alternatives.Liaise with contracts and project teams to ensure bids are practical, commercially viable, and deliverable.Post-Tender and Project HandoverSupport post-tender meetings and respond to client queries.Assist with project handover documentation for successful ..... full job details .....
