Our client is a well-established construction main contractor based in Bournemouth, delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare and residential sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the South Coast, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor with a strong regional presence, offering long-term career progression and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for construction projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Producing accurate take-offs and pricing schedules
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
• Identifying value engineering opportunities
• Attending tender review meetings and client presentations where required
• Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams
• Assessing project risks and opportunities
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
• Supporting the business in securing profitable new work

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as an Estimator for a main contractor
• Experience pricing projects within sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare or residential
• Strong understanding of construction processes and cost planning
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• Relevant construction qualification (preferred but not essential)
