Estimator

We are working on a confidential basis with a well-established London traditional fit-out and refurbishment contractor to appoint an experienced Estimator.
This contractor delivers high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment schemes across the UK, with a strong London presence. Projects range from circa £1k through to £50m and include:

• CAT A & CAT B office fit-outs
• Commercial refurbishments (lobbies, receptions, floors, services upgrades)
• Works within live, occupied buildings requiring careful phasing
• Medium to large-scale commercial projects up to £50m

Operating as a main contractor, the business manages full project delivery, coordinating multiple trades on complex, programme-sensitive schemes. They are part of a larger, international construction group and are recognised for their quality, safety culture, and forward-thinking digital delivery approach
   ABOUT THE ROLE The Role As Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction team, responsible for producing competitive and commercially sound tenders across a range of interior fit-out and refurbishment projects.
Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates from first principles
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and employer’s requirements
• Managing the tender process from enquiry to submission
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor quotations
• Value engineering and risk analysis
• Attending client meetings and supporting bid strategy
• Working closely with commercial and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover

REQUIREMENTS The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a confident, commercially astute Estimator with:

• Proven experience in office fit-out and commercial refurbishment
• Exposure to projects ranging from small works to multi-million pound schemes
• Strong understanding of live environment projects
• Ability to price both traditional and design & build tenders
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Stable career history within reputable main contractors
