English Teacher - Inspire a Love of Literature and Language

The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging and challenging lessons that enable students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and participation.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles.

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

• Support the wider life of the school through pastoral responsibilities and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.

• Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.

• Be committed to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for all students.

• Have a proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
