Prospero Teaching is proud to be working with a supportive and specialist SEMH school in the New Forest, seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

The school offers a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where staff are dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential both in and out of the classroom.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons up to GCSE level
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of SEMH and additional learning needs
- Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Use effective behaviour management strategies and relationship-based practice
- Support students in developing resilience, emotional regulation, and self-confidence
- Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, support staff, and senior leadership
- Contribute to a positive school culture focused on wellbeing and student success
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English up to GCSE level
- Previous SEMH or SEN experience (desirable but not essential)
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
- Excellent resilience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
