Hales Group are delighted to be recruiting for an Engineering Trainer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Beccles.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to move into a training and mentoring role, helping to develop the next generation of engineering talent. Working within a dedicated apprenticeship academy, you will support learners through a combination of technical training, coaching and guidance, helping them build the skills and knowledge required for successful careers within engineering and manufacturing.
Candidates from electrical, mechanical, manufacturing or toolmaking backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Previous training experience is beneficial but not essential, as full support and professional development can be provided for the right person.

About the Role
As part of a growing apprenticeship team, you will support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, delivering engaging training, monitoring progress and providing ongoing support to help apprentices achieve their goals.
This role offers the opportunity to remain connected to engineering while moving away from a hands-on production environment into a rewarding people-focused position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering training to apprentice learners.
• Coach, mentor and support apprentices throughout their programmes.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
• Conduct reviews and assessments.
• Develop and update training resources.
• Promote learner wellbeing, engagement and safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
• Support quality assurance and compliance activities.
• Participate in careers events and STEM initiatives.

• Engineering background within Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Toolmaking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for developing and supporting others.
• Good organisational and IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and undertake further professional development.

• Apprenticeship or engineering qualifications.
• Training, coaching or mentoring experience.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Manufacturing or production engineering background.
• Experience supporting apprentices or junior engineers.

• Monday to Friday working pattern.
