The role blends workshop leadership with regular field-based work, ensuring inspections, tests and engineering tasks are completed safely, accurately and to industry standards.Suitable for an experienced supervisor or a skilled fitter/engineer ready to step up into a leadership role while remaining technically involved.Key ResponsibilitiesField inspections - carry out on-site examinations, NDT testing, structural assessments and mechanical inspectionsTeam supervision - support, guide and coordinate engineers across workshop and field operationsWork allocation - plan daily workloads, assign jobs and ensure timely completionTechnical support - assist engineers with complex inspections, fault-finding and technical queriesCompliance and safety - ensure all work meets LOLER, PUWER, NDT, structural testing and safety-critical engineering standardsQuality assurance - maintain high standards of reporting accuracy, inspection detail and engineering integrityCustomer interaction - communicate professionally with clients, provide updates and resolve issuesDocumentation - complete inspection reports, ..... full job details .....
