Engineering Manager - Mobile - Manchester - Hybrid - 6-month contract (2x a week onsite) - £736 p/d (Inside IR35) We''re looking for an Engineering Manager to join a globally recognised E-commerce client, leading a multidisciplinary team working on a key customer-facing search and conversational experience. You''ll lead Android, iOS, Back End and full-stack engineers, partnering with Product, Design, UX and Data teams across international locations. The role combines people leadership, delivery management and strong Android technical leadership. Key responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team. Own delivery planning, roadmap progress, resourcing, dependencies and risks. Provide technical direction across Android, iOS, Back End and full-stack development. Provide Android guidance across Kotlin, Jetpack, Compose/Views and architecture. Support technical decisions, code reviews, debugging and production issues. Drive quality, testing, accessibility, security, performance and reliability. Own services from discovery through production and continuous improvement. Support recruitment, headcount planning and team ways of working. Build an inclusive, high-performing culture focused on autonomy and development. Key requirements 5+ years'' software engineering experience, including significant Android experience. Previous experience managing, leading or coaching engineering teams.
