This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Engineering professional to join a market-leading manufacturer in a highly visible leadership role. The business is looking for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys being on the shop floor, supporting engineers, solving problems and driving improvements, rather than managing purely from an office.

Role Description

• Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team
• Drive Health & Safety standards and engineering best practice
• Support engineers with technical issues, fault finding and breakdowns
• Develop training programmes and apprenticeship schemes
• Manage engineering budgets, projects and capital expenditure
• Monitor engineering KPIs and site performance
• Develop and improve the CMMS system
• Drive Continuous Improvement and reliability initiatives
• Work closely with production and senior leadership teams

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years'' experience in a Senior/Engineering leadership role within manufacturing
• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams
• Strong maintenance and reliability background
• Comfortable providing hands-on technical support when required
• Experience with CMMS development and maintenance systems
• Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience
• Project management experience
• IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification beneficial
