We''re working with an established ground engineering consultancy who are looking to add an Engineering Geologist to their team in Gloucester.

This is a great opportunity for an Engineering Geologist looking to build on their site and consultancy experience, working on a variety of interesting ground investigation and geotechnical projects across the region.

The role

You''ll be involved in projects from initial ground investigation through to reporting and interpretation, with a good mix of office and site-based work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and managing ground investigations
• Logging soils and rocks in accordance with current standards
• Supervising site investigations and working with drilling contractors
• Producing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports
• Reviewing and interpreting ground investigation data
• Undertaking geotechnical assessments and calculations
• Assisting with geotechnical and environmental assessments
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other project teams
• Working across a range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects

What we''re looking for

We''re looking for an Engineering Geologist with some practical experience who is keen to continue developing their technical skills.

Ideally, you''ll have:

• A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related subject
• Previous experience within ground investigation or geotechnical consultancy
• Experience with ground investigation, site supervision and geological logging
• Good technical report-writing skills
• An understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant standards
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence
