Electronic Test Technician Devizes £27,000 - £30,000 per annum Our client in Devizes is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Test Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a hands-on role, focused on diagnosing and repairing electronic and electromechanical assemblies at the component level. Electronics Test Technician Roles and Responsibilities: Diagnose faults and repair PCBs and electronic assemblies, often with limited documentation Read circuit diagrams and identify components: resistors, capacitors, transistors (BJT/FET), op-amps, comparators, logic gates. Familiarity with microprocessors, memory, I/O, and programmable logic is a plus Recognise circuit types (oscillators, power supplies/converters, amplifiers) and differentiate analogue vs. digital circuits Perform professional soldering/desoldering of surface-mount and through-hole components Use common test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bench power supplies Independently diagnose and replace faulty components; collaboration on approach is encouraged, but technicians are expected to work autonomously Maintain accurate computer-based records and test repaired units to ensure reliability Electronics Test Technician Ideal Candidate: Hands-on experience in component-level fault finding and repair is essential; relevant electronics qualifications are advantageous Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit operation, and the ability to identify and repair both analogue and digital ..... full job details .....
