Electrical Shift Maintenance Technician
Your new companyYou will be joining a major UK port and logistics operation that plays a vital role in supporting international trade and supply chains. The organisation is investing heavily in modern equipment, advanced crane technology, and sustainable operations, creating an environment focused on safety, innovation, reliability, and the development of its engineering workforce.Your new roleAs an Electrical Shift Technician, you will be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining a wide range of plant and equipment within a high-volume container operations environment. Working a 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern, you will deliver both reactive and planned preventative maintenance across terminal operations, including cranes, CRMGs, and straddle carriers.You will respond to machine breakdowns during live operations, carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs safely and efficiently to minimise downtime. The role requires close communication with Engineering Shift Managers, ensuring parts, materials, and follow-up actions are reported accurately and promptly.You will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability and availability by supporting delivery of the preventative maintenance plan, identifying spare parts requirements, and liaising with internal teams to ensure stock availability.
