Your New RoleWarner Bros. Studios Leavesden is calling on skilled and passionate technicians to join our Set Lighting Department as an Electrical Maintenance Technician. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of the action, managing, modifying, and repairing the lighting equipment that brings our productions to life. From blockbuster films to high-end TV dramas, you’ll ensure our rental lighting gear is in top condition and ready to perform on set. Your Role Accountabilities

Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge in electronics and lighting

Setting up electronic systems and devices

Assembling and connecting system components

Modifying and repairing electronic products

Repairing malfunctions in circuitry

Understanding of comprehending manuals and circuit diagrams

Inspection and maintenance of all electronic products

Check all returning stock for quality control

Managing cost reports and inventory reports

Bar code equipment and put WB identification markers on the equipment

Managing repair costings and approvals

Qualifications and Experiences

An industry-recognised qualification in electronics

High knowledge of new lighting technologies in the market

Previous experience with Film and Television lighting equipment is advantageous, but training can be provided.

Experience with manual handling lighting equipment and loading vehicles

Computer literate, with the ability to use Excel, Word, and Outlook confidently

Experience using a computer-based rental system (training can be provided).

Business OverviewWarner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a world-class film and TV studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. The purpose-built studio site is home to 20 sound stages, production offices, workshops, an indoor water tank, and an extensive, clear-horizon backlot.

WBSL includes the on-site production rentals business, Warner Bros. Set Lighting and Rigging, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding, and production supplies for stage and location shoots worldwide. In addition, Warner Bros. De Lane Lea, based in London, provides picture and sound post-production services for film and TV, and has a dedicated Dailies department on the lot at WBSL.

Warner Bros. Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for productions and is home to The WonderWorks, a bespoke childcare facility available to those working on site.

With a range of services including an on-site gym, café, and wellbeing room, WBSL provides the perfect home for productions and has become the studio of choice for many filmmakers worldwide.

Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
