Electrical Lecturer - Further Education

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Electrical Lecturer to join a dynamic Further Education team in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician with teaching experience (or the ambition to step into education) to inspire the next generation of electricians.
Purpose of the Role
- Teach and assess learners across a range of electrical qualifications (Level 1-3), including college-based courses and apprenticeships.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and awarding bodies to ensure learners gain the skills and knowledge needed for success.
- Support and guide learners through their programmes, from induction through to achievement.
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
- Assess and monitor learners'' progress, providing effective feedback and support.
- Act as a personal tutor/course coordinator, supporting learners in achieving their goals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring courses meet both industry and learner needs.
- Liaise with employers to support apprenticeships, placements, and workplace training.
- Maintain accurate course records, reports, and documentation in line with College and awarding body requirements.
- Qualified Electrician (17th Edition essential).
- Relevant teaching or training qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
- Assessor Award (A1) required; V1 desirable.
- Experience in an electrical role, with the ability to apply real-world industry knowledge in the classroom.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience of embedding e-learning into course delivery.
- Experience designing assessment plans and schemes of work.
