Electrical Engineering Manager , you will be part of our Central Engineering and lead a group of Electrical Engineers. As subject matter experts (SMEs) your team and you will be responsible for all electrical systems in your area of responsibility. You will be acting as an interface to our Data Center Operations, Design teams, OEMs and to our customers. Authoring and deploying Electrical Safety Rules will be part of your remit along with ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and reliability and securing the delivery to the highest standard. You will be reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer - EMEA.What you will doResponsible for the management and development in Electrical Engineering for UK and Western Europe (UK, Netherlands, Spain, France)Managing, developing and expanding the Electrical Engineering Team, including workload managementEnsure time management and quality delivery from different stakeholdersClient-oriented strong stakeholder management, providing frequent updates to ensure continuous clarityConduct thorough root-cause analysis and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvementInvolvement in training development for electrical systems, ensuring adherence to company standards and regional requirementsActing as 2nd and 3rd level escalation for electrical and control issuesProvide SOP/EOP development, approve drafts, and provide approvals for MOP, SOP, and EOP within the CAB processResponsibility for managing and writing electrical safety rules for the area of responsibility, ensuring electrical safety and harmonization through the company standardsServe as a sparring partner for Design, External Consultants, and OEMs, leveraging strong technical expertise to ensure effective collaboration and innovative solutionsWhat we are looking forBachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldProven leadership experience, managing a team of electrical engineers and apprenticesExperience in leading a technical function within a mission critical environment and being very customer facing and focusedExtensive electrical engineering, maintenance, commissioning and safety standards experience in Data Center or other mission critical sector is essentialPrevious experience as a High Voltage Authorising Engineer (HV AE)Detailed technical knowledge of large-scale electrical systems, including HV, LV, UPS, Standby Power and related electrical systems and BMS/EMS and control systemsProficient knowledge in discrimination, short circuit and arc flash studies is desirableProven track record of electrical optimization and efficiency improvements, preferably in Data CentersExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to conduct root-cause analysis and implement lessons learnedExperience in developing and delivering training programsFamiliarity with SOP/EOP development and the CAB processAbility to act as an escalation point for complex electrical and control issuesStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvementCEng Status or being in progress to achieveFluent in English; additional languages relevant to the region (e.g., Dutch, Spanish, French, German) are a plusWillingness to travel regularly nationally and internationally (up to 25%)To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019We look forward to hearing from you!Interested in becoming part of an agile international team and actively shaping the digital infrastructure of tomorrow?
