Electrical Design Engineer Peterborough Job responsibilities: Design of MCC Panels (motor circuits, safety circuits, PLC equipment, layouts)Produce I/O configuration and I/O lists, material specifications and bills of materialProduce cable lists / sizing calculations / electrical test sheets / single line diagramsDesign cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawingsWriting Risk Assessments and Method Statements / CDM regulationsModifications to hardware and panels on site (24VDC, 230VAC, 415VAC)Electrical testing / fault finding on site Required qualificationsTechnical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or CandG Level 3, NVQ 3 and requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) or equivalentExperience with Amtech, AutoCAD, Excel and EPLAN, or other drawing packageKnowledge of current electrical regulations / safety requirementsKnowledge of drives, PLCs, control gear (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens)Flexible, self-motivated, works well as part of a teamExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working in a teamValid driving licence and ready to travel in the UK and worldwideDemonstrable experience of electrical design ..... full job details .....
