Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer

A great opportunity has become available for an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to join a well-established Electrical Company based in Aberdeen on a 10month basis. You will be providing a professional engineering service within the established engineering team ensuring the team delivers high quality, reliable products to the Oil and Gas industry. Key Responsibilities: The specification, design, and documentation of systems and components. The specification, design and documentation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. The specification, selection and procurement of Materials and Services. To produce Bills of Material. Electrical interface design including cable schedules, termination details and cable layout diagrams. Instrumentation on selection loop diagrams, PLC / SCADA I/O list, instrumentation on index, logic diagrams and panel design. To be able to perform electrical calculations. At all times to be conscious of material and labour costs. To liaise with Clients, suppliers and peers during normal day-to-day activities. To oversee Junior Engineers and Technicians during design, manufacturing and testing activities. Be proficient in the use of CAD packages to produce detailed design drawings. Expectations: Experience in an Engineering discipline, ideally in the Oil and Gas Industry. Ability to understand the commercial needs of a project. Ability to juggle more than more than one project.
