We are currently seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Slough.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. The school fosters a supportive, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
About the Role:
- Supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with their learning and developmental milestones
- Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans
- Providing assistance with personal care and engaging pupils in sensory-based activities as needed
- Contributing to the creation of a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
- Developing positive, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
The ideal candidate will:
- Proven experience supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ideally within a special educational needs (SEN) environment
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting young learners
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A current DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
