Little Sunflowers Child Care is the dream of Jacqui Clark, who, 35 years ago, struggled to find a nursery in the local area that offered a nurturing environment for her son to develop, learn, and grow. Determined to provide that care for her son and other children, Little Sunflowers was born.To this day, we remain family-run and family-owned, with Jacqui and her daughter working on-site full time.This is the wish that became a dream, which is now a reality—a second home to everyone who walks through our door.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

Working towards a Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.Supporting the development of the childcare provision.Providing a range of activities that ensure children learn while having fun.Being a team player.Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children.Participating in First Aid training as required.Ensuring equal opportunity in service delivery, access, and attitude.Collaborating with teams across the nursery.Supporting children’s learning and development.Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources.Assisting in the preparation of food for breakfast, snacks, and afternoon tea.Supporting children’s self-help needs.Being creative and enthusiastic.Following safeguarding rules and regulations, meeting the standards of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Level 3 Early Years Educator:This apprenticeship lasts for 14 months. You will be supported by Lead Support Coaches and a nursery mentor. You will work full-time in the nursery, with classroom sessions conducted online, and your main apprenticeship work completed in a local nursery.You need GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 4 or above, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2, and must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years to be eligible.

Expected Career Progression:Developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with potential for a full-time position upon successful completion.
