Dual Registered Manager - Children''s Residential Services (EBD)

Location: B24, Birmingham
Salary: -90,000 per annum (inclusive of performance bonuses)

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee six established 3-bed children''s homes located within close proximity in the B24 area. The homes provide high-quality care and support for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a senior leadership position requiring an accomplished Registered Manager with a demonstrable history of successfully managing children''s residential services. This role is not suitable for Deputy Managers, aspiring Registered Managers, or candidates seeking their first Registered Manager position. Applicants must already have substantial experience operating as a Registered Manager within children''s residential care and be confident leading multiple services, driving operational performance, and maintaining consistently high standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across six 3-bed children''s homes.
Ensure all homes consistently meet or exceed Ofsted standards and Children''s Homes Regulations.
Lead, support, and develop Registered Managers and wider staff teams to achieve operational excellence.
Drive a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, compliance, staffing, occupancy, and financial performance across all services.
Develop strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, families, and partner agencies.
Monitor service performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective action plans.
Promote positive outcomes and therapeutic, child-centred care across every home.
Essential Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Current or previous experience as a Registered Manager within children''s residential care is essential.
Proven experience managing multiple homes, a dual-registered service, or several larger residential provisions.
Extensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation, and Children''s Homes Regulations.
Strong operational leadership with experience managing budgets, occupancy, compliance, and service performance.
Demonstrable ability to lead, mentor, and develop management teams.
Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
Full UK driving licence.
