Disrepair Surveyor Location: BristolContract: 6 months initially, with potential extensionRate: £298 per day via Umbrella Hours: 37 hours per week We are currently recruiting for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join a Bristol-based local authority and support the effective management and resolution of housing disrepair cases across a busy social housing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surveyor with experience in social housing, property maintenance, responsive repairs or housing disrepair to take responsibility for a varied caseload and provide high-quality technical advice from initial investigation through to completion. The Role As a Disrepair Surveyor, you will undertake detailed inspections of residential properties, diagnose defects and determine the appropriate remedial works required. You will manage cases through to resolution, working closely with residents, contractors, repairs teams, housing colleagues and legal representatives. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a caseload of housing disrepair claims from investigation through to completion. Carrying out detailed property inspections and identifying defects, causes and required remedial works. Diagnosing issues including damp and mould, water ingress, structural defects, roofing, drainage, heating, ventilation and general property disrepair.
