Disrepair Surveyor

We are recruiting for an experienced and customer-focused Disrepair Surveyor on an interim basis. This is a hybrid role and an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose by managing housing disrepair claims, investigating damp and mould issues, and ensuring compliance with Awaab''s Law and all relevant housing legislation. Working across a housing portfolio, you will carry out detailed property inspections, identify building defects, specify remedial works, and oversee repairs through to completion. You will work closely with residents, contractors, legal teams and internal colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes while protecting the organisation from legal and financial risk. Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims from initial inspection through to resolution. Investigate reports of damp, mould and condensation, identifying the root causes and specifying appropriate remedial works. Ensure all cases are managed in accordance with Awaab''s Law, the Social Housing (Regulation) Act and relevant statutory requirements. Undertake detailed property inspections to diagnose structural defects, building failures and maintenance issues. Produce comprehensive inspection reports, specifications, schedules of work and cost estimates. Manage contractors to ensure repairs are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
