Disrepair Surveyor

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading housing association for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join their property services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and progressing disrepair cases from initial inspection through to resolution, ensuring properties are appropriately assessed and that any necessary remedial works are identified, specified and delivered within agreed timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor with a background in social housing, local authority or residential property, who has a strong understanding of disrepair and the associated legal and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of disrepair cases from initial instruction through to completion. Undertake detailed property inspections to identify defects, causes of disrepair and required remedial works. Prepare specifications, schedules of work, reports and cost estimates as required. Ensure disrepair cases are progressed in line with relevant legislation, legal requirements, policies and agreed timescales. Liaise with residents, legal representatives, contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure cases are effectively managed and resolved. Procure, instruct and manage contractors and consultants to deliver works within agreed budgets, timescales and quality standards.
