Together Women is an award-winning charity that supports women and girls across Yorkshire and Humberside, with focus on those involved in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. We provide trauma-informed, holistic support across pathways including housing, domestic abuse, debt, and unemployment, from women’s centres. We aim to help women feel safe, valued and in control of their life choices.We strive to ev identify systemic change and uphold robust governance and ethical standards.Role Summary

The Director of Development is a senior leadership role focused on growth, sustainability and funding. You will:Identify new funding opportunities and submit high-quality funding applications in collaboration with the CEO and Finance Manager.Provide line management to the WRNA Manager and leadership across the organisation.Develop and deliver an extensive training programme, incorporating feedback from staff and working with training providers.Uphold and enhance policies, governance and procedures to ensure compliance and fit-for-purpose practices.Key AccountabilitiesProvide strategic leadership to identify development opportunities and chart a growth roadmap.Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development.Maintain high standards of quality assurance across the organisation.Collaborate with the CEO and Finance Manager on funding applications and financial planning.Apply professional expertise to ensure sound governance and professional standards.Specific responsibilitiesIdentify and pursue development opportunities aligned with Together Women’s mission.Lead the organisational training plan to equip the team with essential skills.Establish robust quality assurance systems to meet industry standards.Draft funding applications with the CEO and Finance Manager to secure funding.Shape Together Women’s future, fostering growth and positive change.Person Specification

EssentialAbility to identify development opportunities and craft strategic growth plans.Bid writing, securing funding, and financial planning experience.Strong leadership promoting continuous learning and development.Experience building teams, driving change and fostering an inclusive, compassionate culture.Excellent organisational skills, time management and prioritisation.Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.Commitment to outcomes for service users with a track record of performance and quality improvement.Understanding of financial management and balancing quality, performance and finances.Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion across work.DesirableKnowledge of barriers facing women in the criminal justice system.Safeguarding best practices knowledge.Other RequirementsCompetence with standard office IT; able to travel regionally; available to work some evenings.Commitment to anti-racism, social justice, feminism and abolition; rights of people facing disadvantage and discrimination in the CJS.What We Can Offer
