OverviewJoin Cambridge University Press and Assessment as our
Director of Programmes and Change . You will lead a multi-million-pound portfolio of strategic programmes that drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence across International Education, influencing transformation initiatives and partnering with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction for the Programme and Change team
Refine, implement and drive governance and assurance for complex, high-value initiatives
Lead the strategic planning and delivery of a multi-million-pound programme portfolio
Collaborate across Cambridge University Press and Assessment and International Education to align change with strategic priorities
Represent International Education on company-wide governance forums
You will ensure change is well-managed, benefits are realised, and delivery meets time, cost, and quality standards. This role is pivotal to the transformation agenda and requires strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
About You / Qualifications
Extensive experience delivering large-scale programmes and change initiatives at a strategic level
Strong governance expertise across multi-million-pound portfolios
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
Commercial awareness and budget management experience
Track record of embedding change in complex operational environments
Knowledge/experience in the education sector (desirable)
You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing at senior levels, and driving delivery across diverse teams. The leadership style should be inclusive, outcome-focused, and able to work with technology and finance colleagues to ensure robust planning and execution.
