As the Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal and hands-on role in the financial management of the Company, helping to ensure that the Company''s financial health aligns with our ambitious growth plans. You will oversee all financial and human resources operations, including managing vendor relationships, contracts, and Board materials.Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Finance will serve as the lead finance professional of the Company and oversee and manage the financial reporting systems and controls, ensuring that the Company has accurate, timely, and relevant financial data and in many cases work directly with the Board of Directors.This position requires a hands-on approach - you do not shy away from getting your hands dirty and getting into the details - and a combination of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive our Company''s success in the rapidly evolving energy transition landscape.If you are passionate about driving financial excellence in the Energy Transition and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we invite you to join our team as the Director of Finance. The role is based near the Boston area, with on-site opportunities in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis (FPandA):Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies that support the Company''s growth objectives and long-term sustainability.Lead the FPandA function to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models that provide insights into the company''s financial performance and future projections.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against strategic goals and identify areas for improvement.Financial Reporting and Compliance:Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsUnderstand all aspects of the business’s financials and be comfortable discussing performance with the CEO and Investors – You own the numbersAssist in creating and improving existing reporting processes including AP, AR, inventory management and invoicingCoordinate audits, reviews, and tax filings in collaboration with external auditors and legal advisors.Capital Management:Assist the CEO and Board with potential investment opportunities, partnerships, and MandA transactions to support growth initiatives and enhance shareholder value.Vendor Management:Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost efficiencies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate vendor performance, assess risks, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.Oversee vendor selection processes, conducting due diligence and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and standardsHuman Resources and Benefits:Manage the Human Resources (HR) function to develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that support employee recruitment, retention, and engagement.Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, equity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, and talent development initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting, Business Administration; CPA preferred.Proven track record of success in finance roles, preferably within the energy sector or related industries.Deep understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.Strong strategic planning / analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results while maintaining integrity and ethical standards.Comfort working with excel to create forecasting modelsExperience with Business Central a plusEmployees are eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, insurance, 401k contribution, paid time off and paid ..... full job details .....
