Our client, an independent, award-winning agency, is looking for a senior strategist to step into a maternity cover leadership role — where your ideas will directly influence client success, and your leadership will be felt across the agency.Why this role?Impact at scale: Shape integrated campaigns across PR, SEO, social and influencer marketing for high-profile clients.Leadership with purpose: Guide and mentor a team of sharp strategists, helping their best ideas rise to the top.Strategic seat at the table: Work closely with senior leadership to evolve the agency proposition and drive commercial growth.Flexibility built-in: Options for full-time or part-time (3 full days, or 5 shorter school-hours days).What you’ll be doingLeading digital PR, SEO, social media, influencer marketing and LLM strategy across client campaigns.Acting as senior client lead for SEO-only accounts.Overseeing the Planning team’s performance while mentoring Senior Strategists and freelance partners.Driving annual and quarterly planning for retained clients — setting KPIs, refining tactics, and course-correcting where needed.Shaping new business strategies through audits, insights, and channel roadmaps.Translating audience and market data into creative, commercially sharp campaigns.What our client is looking forAgency expertise: Senior-level experience in digital PR, SEO, and content marketing.Strategic mindset: Proven ability to connect channels and build integrated strategies.SEO know-how: From technical fundamentals to how SEO powers PR and content.Client leadership: A track record of building trusted relationships and delivering results.Team mentor: Comfortable managing and developing direct reports.Analytical thinker: Confident turning data into actionable recommendations.Technical fluency: Hands-on with tools like GA, Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Tag Manager, and social ad managers.About the agencyOur client is an independent, award-winning agency with over 20 years’ experience helping brands cut through the noise.
