The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Development Surveyor to join our clients team. In this role, you will visit residential properties and assess their condition, layout, and potential for improvement. Your expert eye for detail and market knowledge will guide our decisions on what refurbishments, extensions, or upgrades will deliver the best return on investment.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of residential properties.
• Assess the current condition and identify development/refurbishment opportunities.
• Provide recommendations on work required to maximise property value prior to sale.
• Liaise with contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to scope out proposed works.
• Prepare detailed reports and cost/benefit analyses for each property.
• Keep up-to-date with local housing market trends and planning regulations.

• Experience as a surveyor, property consultant, or similar role within residential development.
• Strong knowledge of building structures, refurbishment, and planning processes.
• Commercially minded with an understanding of the housing market and buyer expectations.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• RICS qualification is essential.
