About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Design Manager to support the delivery of major structures projects across London.The Design Manager will take responsibility for managing the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant, buildable and delivered in line with programme, budget, quality and health and safety requirements.Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients, you will provide strong technical and design leadership throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the design process from pre-construction through to construction and completion.Lead and coordinate design teams, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners.Manage design programmes, deliverables and key design milestones.Ensure designs are fully coordinated, compliant and suitable for construction.Review drawings, specifications and technical information to identify potential issues and opportunities.Manage design reviews, workshops and coordination meetings.Ensure buildability, sequencing, temporary works and construction methodology are considered throughout the design process.Manage RFIs, technical queries, design changes and approvals.Coordinate with structural engineers, architects and specialist subcontractors.Monitor design progress against ..... full job details .....
