Design Manager (BESS)

Overview

Our client is a leading Engineering and Construction main contracting company, who deliver design-and-build projects throughout the UK in various industry sectors. Due to growth within their Energy business, they are seeking a Design Manager to work on Battery Energy Storage schemes throughout the UK. This is a developing business unit where you can be part of their growth strategy for many years to come.Responsibilities

Be part of the Engineering Senior Management Team.Be accountable for the success of the Engineering service delivery.You will develop strong and productive relationships with their clients, to ensure our work exceeds their expectations to deliver for their customers and the environment.Plan, execute, monitor, and control engineering output for projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, and stakeholder management.You will be accountable for leading the delivery and assurance ensuing our client is meeting its obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (2015) for its roles as the Principal Designer and Designer.Typically oversees performance management, mentoring, recognition, learning and development and any corrective actions.Provide technical support to the wider teams.Experience / Qualifications

Previous experience within the Battery Energy Storage industry.Degree qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering or science subject.Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent).Experience of managing and developing a diverse, multidisciplined team.Experience of design at all voltage levels from LV to 400kV systems.Package

Salary range £90,000 - £100,000.Car allowance of circa £9,000 or company car.Company bonus scheme.Flexible pension contributions – if you invest up to 5% of your salary into your pension, the company will make an additional 10% contribution.Plus, many other ..... full job details .....
