Design Engineer

We are working with an organisation who have been established for over 35 years and have gone from strength to strength. My client specialises in servicing a wide spectrum in all moulding materials. They are toolmakers and precision engineers specialising in the design and manufacture of all production tooling. We are currently looking for experienced Design Engineer to join this company based in Lancashire.

Key Requirements:

• Must have over 5 years working experience as a Design Engineer
• Experience within a design/engineering office is esstional
• Must be highly proficient with 3D CAD software over 5 years-
• Experience of working on projects and some project management ability is required
• Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings, and BOM creation
• Ability to interpretate customer specifications and make decisions with technical-information
• Ability to handle multiple project deliverables
• Knowledge of various engineering materials, including carbon steels, alloys and-stainless steels
• Willing to travel for site surveys and installation support when required.

Beneficial-Requirements:

• A good understanding of Autodesk Inventor modelling software.
• A good understanding Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of handling solutions / conveyor design is preferred.-
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• A good understanding of project management.
• Good time management

Hours of work: 37 hours
Monday - Thursday: 7:30-16:00 and-Friday 7:30 - 12:30
